How to Ship Your Flowers for Preservation
Important Instructions to Ensure the Best Results
To preserve your flowers in the best possible condition, proper care and shipping are essential. Please carefully follow the instructions below. Flowers that are handled and shipped correctly allow for better drying, color retention, and overall preservation results.
Before Shipping Your Flowers
Immediately after your event and before shipping, place your flowers in a clean vase with fresh water and store them in a cool area, away from direct sunlight and heat. This helps keep them hydrated and fresh until they are prepared for shipping.
⚠️ Do not refrigerate your flowers unless specifically instructed. Household refrigerators often contain moisture and odors that can damage blooms.
Step-by-Step Shipping Instructions
1- Prepare the Flowers
- Cut ½”–1” off the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle using sharp scissors or floral shears
- Gently pat the flowers dry, especially the stems and any excess moisture

Remove any non-floral items such as ribbons, pins, charms, or family heirlooms
(These items should be kept by you and not shipped with the flowers)
2- Wrap the Bouquet Properly
- Loosely wrap the bouquet with tissue paper or packing paper, similar to how flowers are wrapped at a florist or grocery store
- The wrap should support the flowers without compressing them
🚫 Do NOT use:
- Plastic wrap
- Bubble wrap
- Wet or damp paper towels
These materials trap moisture and can cause mold, rot, or severe damage during transit.
3- Pack the Box Securely
- Fill the bottom of the box with crumpled tissue or packing paper
- Place the wrapped bouquet upright and centered inside the box
- Fill all empty space with additional paper to prevent movement during shipping
The goal is to keep the flowers stable and protected.
4- Seal & Label the Box
- Seal the box securely using packing tape
- If available, add “FRAGILE” stickers to the outside of the box
Clearly label the box INSIDE with:
- Full name used for the order
- Order number
- Callback phone number

This may delay delivery and negatively impact the flowers.
5- Shipping Method & Timing
- Overnight shipping is required
- Ship your flowers within 24–48 hours after your event
- Freshness is critical for a successful drying and preservation process
✔️ UPS and FedEx are preferred
✔️ Both carriers ship on weekends
🚫 Avoid USPS, as delivery times are less predictable.
6- Additional Tips for Best Results
- Ship flowers Monday–Thursday, when possible, to avoid delays
- Avoid shipping before major holidays
- Keep tracking information for your records
